MINISTRY PARTNER of the WEEK

Tara Penner (Frontier Lodge)

Read more online in our Outreach magazine, p10.

Frontier Lodge is a Christian Adventure Center in the David Thompson Corridor, located between Nordegg and Abraham Lake. We use the year-round beauty of the wilderness and the opportunities it presents to help people know and experience the goodness of God through transformational adventures.

Groups throughout the include year school groups, church groups, ladies and men’s retreats, and private groups. Summertime is a busy season with camps (ages 10-17), including an Indigenous Camp which is booked fully each year.

Groups engage in activities such as rock climbing, rafting, mountain biking, ice climbing and backpacking, with the goal of experiencing God and building character and community while facing new and challenging experiences. Staff leading these adventures encourage intentional discussions with participants about faith and God.
