Proverbs 25:1-17
Reflect
“A word aptly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver.” (verse 11)
In the verses just before this one, we read about the misuse of speech, but now we read that words can also be meant to be spoken at the right time and for good purposes.
Having the wisdom to know how to bring the right words to a situation is something we should all seek after. The words spoken may have to be in a corrective manner, but knowing what words to share and making sure the listener is receptive to those words are important steps.
Apply
Our words can be used for building people up or for tearing them down. Let us be people who practice speaking words that look more like amazing apples in beautiful baskets than words that cause harm.

Pray for Taylor Seminary
We are weaving together Taylor Seminary and Sioux Falls Seminary--stepping boldly into the future of theological education and have come together to create a first of its kind global network that is making theological education more affordable, accessible, relevant, and faithful. What began as the “Kairos Project” in 2014, ultimately led to the launch of Kairos University. Kairos has dramatically increased our ability to serve students in Edmonton, throughout Alberta, across Canada, and around the world. Together, we are seeing God work in significant and powerful ways to rekindle the flame for theological education across the NAB. Through a commitment to developing followers of Christ who flourish in their vocational contexts, Kairos has created new opportunities for collaboration within the NAB. We have fostered deeper connections with students, regions, and churches within the NAB family.
